About the Customer:
A U.S. State central Information Technology agency provides Connect Contact Center that allows customers to use cloud-based contact center functions in a highly adaptable environment. The State agency provided Connect leverages AWS services like Connect, Polly, Lex, Pinpoint, Lambda, S3, and more along with a variety of digital and voice channels to provide the end user a fully immersive experience in order to meet their needs.
Customer Challenge:
A State agency’s challenge was to track, manage and charge back call center costs as customers utilize AWS Connect to replace their existing legacy solutions. Automation using AWS Connect will reduce staff time, operator errors, and enhances customer service.
Partner Solution:
A&T Systems, Inc. (A&T) provided the State agency with technical Cloud services to design and implement an AWS Billing Portal with a centralized comprehensive view of AWS consumption costs across multiple accounts. A&T assembled a team of AWS EUC solutions architects and engineers to align on a strategy, architecture, and tactical migration plan for a centralized billing portal that provides the below:
- Data segmented by account, cost code, end-customer, or other dimensions
- Collectors for most commonly used services with AWS Connect
- Data provided in CSV or Database files to be ingested into the current accounting platform for further analysis
- Custom collectors for all Services o Goal: Develop a “Unified Connector” to implement future additional services
- AWS account creation to host the data services for the pipeline
- Pipeline to output in a CSV format that minimizes additional human data messaging
- Requirements gathering for dashboard
- Creation of dashboard that displays costs by department and subdepartment
- Creation of documentation on how to tag the required AWS components

A&T’s customized centralized billing portal solution provides State agency Central IT with a single point of view for provisioning, billing and cost optimization tasks to extend to their and customers for accounting and chargeback. The billing portal will be utilized by all customers and will provide data analytics for operational metrics.
